1. Repeated Listing
1.1 Definition of “Repeated Listing”
"Repeated Listing" refers to the listing of similar or identical product information two or more times.
1.1.1 “"Identical product information" refers to product listings with indistinguishable subjects, categories, keywords, details, descriptions and pictures.
1.1.2 “Similar product information" refers to
a) product listing’s subjects, categories, keywords, details and descriptions all are similar or
b) at least three out of which are indistinguishable
with identical pictures or pictures only distinguishable for capturing angles or number of products shown etc.
1.2 Measures taken against repeated listings
If Alibaba.com encounters repeated listings, it has the right to take action against the member as follows:
(1) Issue a notice to warn suppliers in question;
(2) Restrict the number of times a supplier can submit or update any information including product information and company profiles to 10 times a day
(3) Move down or remove repeated listings them from search results
If the member has been imposed the aforementioned enforcement actions for three times due to repeated listings, Alibaba.com has the right to restrict the number of times a supplier can submit or update any information including product information and company profiles to 10 times a day, or move all of the supplier’s products down in search results.
2.1 Definition of “Miscategorization”
Miscategorization refers to product listings that are placed under inappropriate categories. An example would be if a user put “low cut jeans” under “Electronics”
2.2 Measures taken against miscategorization
If Alibaba.com encounters miscategorized product listings, it has the right to remove the listings and notify the users.
