Notice on the Cancellation of Free Product Postings by Free Members on the Alibaba.com International Website (“Members”) (“Notice”)
In order to protect the legitimate rights and interests of global buyers and comply with applicable laws and regulations regarding the authenticity of a sellers' identity, we are hereby issuing this Notice to announce changes to the Free Member Benefits (as defined in the Free Membership Agreement on the Alibaba.com International Website), whereby Members will no longer be able to post any product postings for free on the Alibaba.com International Website effective from October 15, 2020 (Beijing time) onwards (the “Implementation Date”).
Should you wish to post products on the Alibaba.com International Website after the Implementation Date, you must purchase one of the Global Gold Supplier (“GGS”) memberships on the Alibaba.com International Website and complete the requisite authentication and verification procedures in accordance with the GGS services agreement on the Alibaba.com International Website.
Products that have been posted for free on the Alibaba.com International Website will be gradually removed from the Implementation Date onwards. For the avoidance of doubt, all Members shall still be responsible for any liability arising from any free product postings on the Alibaba.com International Website after the Implementation Date until such products have been completely removed from the Alibaba.com International Website.

FAQs in relation to this Notice:
1. How long will it take to remove the products that have been posted for free on the Alibaba.com International Website?
It is estimated that the products posted by Members for free on the Alibaba.com International Website will be removed by the system within 10 days starting from the Implementation Date. The actual timing of the removal may be subject to change. Please save any product information as you may require prior to the Implementation Date to avoid any loss. For the avoidance of doubt, we will not be liable to you for any loss that may be suffered by you or any third party as a result of implementing the changes in this Notice.
2. I used to be a GGS member before, but now I am currently a free Member. If I upgrade to a GGS membership again, can I repost the products that have been removed after the Implementation Date?
Yes, you can repost the previously removed products. However, you will need to post the products yourself after your GGS membership is activated (as this will not be done automatically by the system).
3. After the product is removed, what happens if there was a dispute regarding the free product posting or a buyer raises any questions about the removal of such product, how should this be explained?
Transaction related disputes will be handled in accordance with the standard procedures as set out in the following rules and regulations on the Alibaba.com International Website: https://rule.alibaba.com/rule/detail/3310.htm so you and the buyer do not need to worry. Meanwhile, we suggest you engage in friendly communications with the buyer and inform them that for the purposes of complying with applicable laws and regulations, free Members on the Alibaba.com International Website are now required to upgrade to a GGS membership and complete the relevant authentication and verification procedures before being able to post any products on the Alibaba.com International Website.
4. Will my penalty score be cleared after the products are removed?
No. Your penalty score will not be affected.
